Long-distance move from Pleasanton, CA to Boulder, CO

I wouldn't touch them with a 10-foot pole

NVL moved me from the Bay Area to Colorado. They were about 50% more than any other mover quoted me, but I was encouraged by, among other things, their commitment to quality work and prompt resolution of claims. Ha! I grossly overpaid and they refused to make good on the items they broke or lost.

They delivered +/- 60 boxes to my apartment. Other than setting up the furniture, they did not unpack any boxes. Over the next couple of weeks, I unpacked all 60 boxes. I discovered that a device used with my bed (an Eight Sleep hub) was missing, and they damaged a trophy shelf. I timely submitted a claim. Incredibly, they denied the claim on the grounds that I hadn't identified the issues 'on the delivery papers'. How could I possibly identify that something was lost or damaged when the property was delivered??? Utter nonsense.

My bed frame was also delivered damaged. I showed the move supervisor the damage, and one of his crew tried to fix the problem to no avail. NVL denied the claim as if none of this happened.

The total amount of the loss or damage is around $2,000. I was offered $20.

NVL's strategy is clearly to deny claims at first, hoping the client will give up.

Long-distance move from Baton Rouge, LA to Farmington, MI

Nightmare moving experience with NVL

I moved across country with NVL, Fazal Kahn as my Sales Rep. First of all, the van did not appear on the pickup date, and no one called to explain. That evening, I notified Mr. Kahn and heard nothing back. He has ignored calls, emails and messages after receiving money. A loading crew showed up 4 days late. The unloading crew placed 90% of all boxes in basement DESPITE MULTIPLE LABELS ON EACH BOX for placement by room in home. In basement, boxes were stacked 4 high, too high to take down by a 76 year old single female. In addition, they broke the wheel off my moving dolly and hid it on top of 4 boxes. Multiple items have been found broken, and I have not had access to most of the boxes. It's been more than a week since my complaints and I have received no help despite numerous calls and emails. I spoke with the Director of Customer Relations, Sue Mackey. After hearing my situation, all she said was "file a claim and we will investigate", leaving me stranded. When I contacted my credit card company regarding my options, they informed me NVL had DOUBLE CHARGED ME ON BOTH CREDIT CARDS. The original estimate was for $4700. They charged almost $20,000 on my credit cards. I requested NVL send a crew of two to move the boxes to the location indicated on the boxes, but NVL has done absolutely nothing to help. Mr. Kahn promised me a discount for the 4 day late pick up. He ignores all emails re this, and would not send claim forms. Four NVL departments disrespected, cheated and scammed me on this move: Sales, Unloading, Customer Service and Billing. There is zero customer service. This company is a scam.

Long-distance move from Indiana to Texas

Cross Country Indiana to Texas Relocation

We recently had the pleasure of working with National Van Lines, and I cannot recommend them enough! They handled all of our personal property, including priceless family heirlooms and antiques spanning multiple generations, with the utmost care. Among these were a delicate grandfather clock, a king split Sleep Number bed, and a custom-built kids' playset—all of which were managed seamlessly during our cross-country move.

Adam was our main point of contact and was incredibly communicative throughout the entire process. Mike, our driver, arrived each day from out of state with his wife and expertly managed on-site logistics, communications, paperwork, and inventory. They used stickers and provided on-site copies to ensure everything was accounted for, offering an extra layer of confidence for us as the moving owners.

The team arrived early, ensuring there were no snags or surprises. Their attention to detail was impeccable. They reassembled all of our beds, moved heavy furniture effortlessly to the second story, and even double-checked everything to ensure it met our standards. Remarkably, not a single piece of furniture was damaged, which was such a blessing given the sentimental value of many of our items.

The packing team, who were separately contracted, showed incredible respect and maintained excellent communication throughout the process. On the day of the move, the crew loading the truck was equally professional and thoughtful. They understood the stress and challenges of moving with young children and pets, going above and beyond to make the process as smooth as possible.

What impressed us most was the experience and empathy of the team. Many of the crew members have been with National Van Lines for over 10 years or had gone through cross-country moves themselves. Their understanding of the emotional toll of such a transition was evident in their approach.

Adam and Mike, along with the rest of the team, were instrumental in ensuring the entire operation ran smoothly. They coordinated with the on-site team flawlessly, creating an efficient and supportive environment. From start to finish, there was no awkwardness—just professionalism and genuine care.

The foundation and values of National Van Lines shone through every step of the process. Thanks to their exceptional service, we could focus on our family's emotional needs during this exciting yet chaotic time. Their efforts even allowed us to explore our new community and help our little ones settle in and make new friends.

We are so incredibly grateful to National Van Lines, Adam, Mike, and the entire team for helping us navigate this significant milestone in our lives with ease and care.

No accountability

We used AQMN which contracted through National Van Lines. They took stock of all our furniture and on day of move, only had two movers work who huffily moved everything, and in the process, damaged out 1 year old credenza. I had paid over $700 for insurance, with $0 dollar deductible so filed a claim with pictures. They stated they wouldn't cover without any response. Despite labeling as fragile, several dishes were broken which I did not file a claim for. Overall, if you want to move without damaging your valuables, then do yourself a favor and run from this company as fast as you can. There's no accountability and the insurance is worthless

DISHONEST PRACTICES, POOR SERVICE, BAIT AND SWITCH SCAMMING

Our experience with National Van Lines, particularly with sales representative Brian Eichman, was deeply disappointing and frustrating.

At the outset, our interactions with Brian were pleasant, and his quote came in significantly lower than competitors—even after a detailed line-by-line comparison. We were completely transparent about every item being moved and even sold some large items (including our couch), which remained on the quote. During our conversations, Brian repeatedly emphasized that the total weight—not the number of boxes—was what mattered and encouraged us to pack items in totes instead of boxes.

After signing the binding agreement, Brian became unresponsive until the day of pick-up. On moving day, the third-party company National Van Lines outsourced was professional and efficient. They carefully tagged and organized all our items before loading them onto the truck—a process that took about 2.5 to 3 hours.

However, before loading began, we received an unexpected call from Brian demanding additional payment, claiming our items exceeded the agreed-upon weight. This left us with no choice but to pay the increased amount, or our belongings wouldn’t be loaded—a clear bait-and-switch tactic.

Our delivery did not arrive until December 23rd, the very last day of the promised delivery window. Upon arrival, several items were damaged. When we submitted a claim, we were informed that the damage fell under our deductible—a direct contradiction to what Brian originally explained, which was that the deductible only applied in cases of loss, theft, or catastrophic damage. Additionally, we had moving blankets stolen during the process.

National Van Lines presents itself as a trustworthy company employing honest, retired military personnel and claims they handle your move from start to finish—but this is misleading. In reality, they outsource both pick-up and delivery to third-party companies. Ironically, those third-party companies demonstrated far better professionalism and integrity than National Van Lines itself.

In summary, I strongly advise against using National Van Lines. Their deceptive pricing, lack of communication, and refusal to take responsibility for damages make them an unreliable and untrustworthy choice for your move.

Absolute NIGHTMARE.

It has been an absolute NIGHTMARE!! On December 15, 2011 Three Gorillas (United Van Lines contractor) certified a gross weight of 11,800 pounds. That’s what we paid $7444.27 for.   Mr. Scott J. Goble from Mountain Moving and Storage (the sales person) specifically told me that weighing are federally enforced and fraud free. That serious consequence would be imposed to anyone that messed with these. Now United Van Lines claims that the actual weight is 12240 pounds. And charged me an additional $810. Who is lying?   The reweigh issue came about when I inquired Mr. Goble why I wasn’t able to witness the first weighing like we agreed to. He blamed Three Gorillas for not following his instructions. That’s the reason I asked for the second weighing. That never happened. United Van Lines didn’t fulfill their contractual obligations.
· They failed to allow me to witness the weightings.
· They failed to deliver in the date as scheduled.
· They failed to allow me to witness the second or audit any weighing.
· They failed to deliver my goods in the same condition as you received them.
Broken bed frames, pictures, furniture, etc. Just don’t use them they will milk you out of every penny that they can.

Move review.

Very professional team. Aaron Bacon helped us schedule a move on short notice. Aaron promised a pickup date window and succeeded in meeting that window.
The driver and moving team was careful with our furniture during the pickup, packing and placement in storage.
I would recommend National Van lines to others.
We have used other Van lines with drivers who were rude and lost several items during transport.

Thanks so much, Doug. It is our desire to always go above and beyond our customers expectations in making their move a success. Best of luck in your new home.

Very Good to Excellent Experience.

We have moved twice in the past 15 months. National Van Lines moved us both times. The first experience was nearly flawless.

This most recent experience was almost as good - and one of the best things about this move was having Lisa Varzino as our Relocation Coordinator. Lisa was an absolute pleasure to work with as she was quick to respond to my email inquiries AND she communicated everything clearly and concisely. Additionally, I found Lisa to be warm and friendly - something that is oh so helpful when dealing with the stresses of moving.

Our belongings arrived at our new address within the window of time indicated. So far, we have not found anything broken or missing - although we still have some boxes to unpack.

Although we hope we will NOT be moving again for at least 10 years, I would not hesitate to choose National Van Lines.

Worst moving experience EVER!

It is a month later and I still have no refrigerator, washer, or dryer. I paid for the best insurance coverage, full replacement value, 0 deductible. These were not the only damages and have been given the run around by claims rep on getting these things repaired/replaced. Somehow they have managed to make these things my fault and since I paid them for a service not sure how they can believe that. There were 3 antique family heirlooms damaged, and boxes of glass items smashed. Finding new damages daily as I unpack. So discouraged and no empathy or effort on their part to be prompt in making things right.

Destroyed my Piano and damaged my dresser.

Hands down absolute worst moving experience ever. They handled our move from Arizona to Maryland. They delivered our stuff 2 weeks late and the only reason I knew about the delay was because I called them. There was zero communication from them before my calling and harping on them! Then 2 out of the 4 large items that arrived were damaged, one of which was my piano and I am a professional pianist. It is obvious that the entire finish of the piano was sprayed with something and someone tried to wipe it off. Unfortunately they did a horrible job in covering up what they did and were unable to get to the parts of the instrument that were locked so it actually dripped into the instrument. They are taking zero responsibility, tried to blame it on me possibly cleaning it before they picked it up and even threw their own driver under the bus. Now I am having to hire a refinisher to take a look at it and assess the damage inside and out. The entire instrument may need to be refinished because whatever it is, it is irremovable! Even the driver that dropped off the stuff admitted that when he went to pick up my stuff from the warehouse my piano was completely uncovered and that the dresser was already damaged prior to even being driven cross country. I don't know how a company that touted they are so reputable can make such a mess out of one simple move. Shame on you National Van Lines!

Do Not Use.

This was a military move so cost is not accurate. Numerous damaged items due to poor packing and blatant disregard for property. Items were jammed into boxes breaking/damaging contents, furniture destroyed during move due to poor placement in moving truck. Household goods moved to several different trucks. Items strapped so tight freezer door was bent making the item useless and they refused to replace or even pay partial cost. Poor explanation of documentation leading to refusal to pay full claim of damaged items. Took 5 months to get claim cleared and once an offer is made, they will not budge no matter what proof you present. I DO NOT recommend using this moving company.

Long-distance move from New Jersey to Illinois

A Great Move!

We have used National for three cross-country moves and this most recent one was by far the best experience. With the exception of one difficult move from Connecticut to Chicago (the third party that National used in CT for our first move with them was not a great company) our moves have always been solid with National. However, this time we had particularly great people on our team. Aaron Bacon, our representative, was always quick to respond to our emails and phone calls. He even responded on the weekends. He had a record of our previous move and was able to estimate the weight instead of having a representative come to the house. The estimate was just below the final weight, making the financial aspect of the move easier to digest once we received the bill. We did get an estimate from a different well-known moving company and they over-estimated the weight by almost 5,000 pounds! National has the best prices and some of the best customer service with representatives like Aaron Bacon. He checked in with us prior to, during, and after the move. Even though we are experienced movers, he gave us the peace of mind that National "had our backs."

Our driver, Jose Gonzalez, was by far the best driver we have ever been assigned through National. He and his crew were kind, efficient, careful, and professional. He arrived exactly on time to our house in New Jersey and 15 minutes early to our house in Illinois. They padded the walls and staircase ceilings in both houses, they covered the floors with plastic and canvas tarps, and they carefully wrapped all of our furniture. We have a grand piano and Jose knew exactly how to move it. It arrived in pristine condition just like our furniture. They helped us set everything up and even moved furniture around when we didn't like the initial layout. So much of the moving experience is attributed to the quality of the driver, and Jose was outstanding in every way. We hope everyone has the same positive experience that we had with National. After three moves with them, it seems like the experience boils down to the representative--his/her professionalism and concern for the customer's experience--and the drivers since they are the ones who hire the other movers. Thank you Aaron and Jose!

Service cost: $6900

Thank you so much for your kind review. It is a top priority at National Van Lines to have every single customer pleased and satisfied with their move. So glad you have returned time and time again & we'll be here for you for any future moves. Best of luck in your new home!

Long-distance move from Chicago, IL to Conifer, CO

Move from Chicago to Colorado.

My husband and I just moved from our 3,000 sqft home we have raised our family in for 21 years in Chicago cross country 1,000 miles to Colorado. We were very anxious over how it would all go, but from the first call from our National Van Lines driver, Damon Clark, we were put at ease. His positivity, enthusiasm and confidence was exactly what we needed. This guy is AMAZING! He loves his job, treats his crews with respect and puts 110% effort into every detail. His motto is "no stress" and he means it! He had hardworking cheerful crews in both Chicago and Colorado and to be honest the actual moving out and moving in days were the easiest days of our entire moving experience. Damon and his crews handled our belongings with respect and care and we had no damage. These guys were having fun moving us! We were no easy job because our new home is on the side of a mountain and Damon needed to arrange to use a smaller truck once at our town and load the shuttle truck three times to get our belongings up the mountain. He was undaunted and he and his crew acted as if it was a walk in the park! I can't believe I'm saying this, but we had fun during our move - all due to Damon and his crews. If you're looking for a mover, make sure you contact National Van Lines and request Damon Clark!!

Long-distance move from Cape Coral, FL to Murphy, NC

Moved from Cape Coral FL to Murphy NC.

I moved from Cape Coral Fl. to Murphy NC I contacted several
moving companies for quotes after reading all the reviews on them and talking with them not one would come out to the house for a definite quote except National Van lines. I had read so many horror stories about doing business with companies that give you a Quote over the phone and at the end there prices would sky rocket when they already had your belongings. I contacted National Van lines and they sent a rep from my area Named Steve Coburn. He Came to the house and Looked at everything and sat down with us and gave us a quote that was Binding. He also quoted us to move our second car that would go with our stuff. we Told him the dates to be out of the house in Fl. and the Date to have stuff delivered. I am Telling you They met every date and did such a fantastic job. Nick the Driver and his crew took extra care of all our stuff packing and unpacking not even a scratch. I would Highly Recommend them and will contact them again in the future if we move there prices was very Fair and the end price was exactly as quoted. Thank you Steve and Nick very much.

Dropped the furniture on the rocks!

I contracted with National Van Lines via its local agent in Houston, Jonnie T. Melia. The pick up went smoothly. But when it came to delivery in Colorado, they sent one very old man to move boxes, furniture, etc. He was completely overwhelmed by the move. Dropped my wooden buffet on the ground outside my house--not once but twice. Didn't unpack anything as promised. Total disaster. When I contacted them, they said that any help was 85 miles away. Of course I was required to pay in advance. Nice. They are giving me a partial refund--but hardly compensating my wife for doing half the unloading herself. Lots of apologies. Really sorry in more ways than one.

Michael Hartung was our representative to schedule the move and he was a great communicator, easy to work with, and responsive. When the move began, Brian O’Malley arrived in Boston right on time and was extremely professional and prepared. His team did a FANTASTIC job and we were so thankful and impressed. Brian delivered our items to our new home in New Jersey and once again - timely and proficient. The entire company did a outstanding job start to finish. They were conscientious of the current pandemic and took care of our belongings. 10 out of 10 would use again and highly recommend.

Honest, reliable, reputable company!

I have moved many times before and it has NEVER been a good experience!! This time I did my homework and checked the BBB (better business bureau) website for reputable movers. I called and spoke to Aaron Bacon, which was very professional and answered all of my questions. He even explained to me how to search any moving company online to know if they are brokers or moving company and how many drivers and trucks they own! Super valuable information as I have been burned in the past with moving brokers! I obtained a binding estimate and it was exactly that price upon delivery of my move! They arrived at the date and time as agreed upon, thoroughly wrapped all of my furniture with blankets and took very good care of my property. David, my mover was excellent as well. This was my first interstate move from Fl to TN and I had everything within 48 hours of pick up! Although they are not cheap, but peace of mind and reputation is worth it! Most movers will quote you much lower price but you will end up paying more in the end with extra charges! I will definitely use this company again in the future! Thanks again!

Long-distance move from Redmond, WA to Rapid City, SD

Chaos and Frustration every step of the way.

My $20K move was disaster from beginning to end. NVL will do anything to keep from paying a claim. When estimate was done by A2B Moving in Auburn, WA, it included boxes for my latex mattresses which were NEVER furnished and both mattresses were destroyed. They attempted to have on cleaned and now that I have photos showing my still gross mattress, they are dragging their feet. The guys who packed and loaded did NOT protect many of my items even though I requested at time of estimate. I had established that I had two locations...storage and an apartment to unload items at. This was ignored and I had to spend two days in a truck stop parking lot directing unloading into smaller trucks. Unloading team and driver didn't get along ...cops were called, workers walked off the job on day 1. I was told that the driver threatened to dump my items in the truck stop parking lot and leave, so during the middle of the night, I had to drive to the truck stop to check on my belongings. It has been like pulling teeth to get National to stand behind their work. Even though I took out a full replacement cost insurance policy, they are difficult. There is absolutely no compensation for the extra nights in hotel, cost to haul away destroyed mattress. DO NOT USE NATIONAL VAN LINES OR A2B MOVING AND STORAGE IN AUBURN, WA.

This is my 3rd long distance move in 6 years and the other two went very smoothly... with different companies.

Long-distance move from Chicago, IL to Alpharetta, GA

No Accountability

I received a call the day before our cross country move date to try to get me to reschedule which at that time I made them aware that I could not.

CS stated that no one accepted this load until the night before.

The crew showed with no packing materials. A moving company with nothing to pack the kitchen, and artwork even after I did a video call inventorying kitchen and paintings.

Cesar the leader who arrived first at 7:50am, quit and drove off at 9am and never came back.

After several calls to Tiffany in CS I came up with idea myself that the two workers who were left go to Home Depot and buy materials.

There was no mattress bags/covers even after I did a video call inventorying bedrooms. Other furniture was placed on the truck unprotected which I made them pull it back off, and repack

After 8 phone calls with Tiffany in CS, Lori (her supervisor) made me aware that this case had not been escalated. Even after the leader walked off the job, and with a crew too small to do the job, and no packing materials. So all the phone calls to Tiffany saying they were escalating to Operations was not true.

Several items were loaded with insufficient protection. Shrink wrapping alone does not protect furniture from a long distance move. When workers shrink wrap their hands go right through when they carry the items leaving them open to dirt and insects etc... (I have pictures that were taken inside the truck to verify)

Lori, (CS supv) said that they would take the truck to their Broadview office to "re-pack" properly things that had been improperly pack.

Several items were left behind because there was insufficient packing materials and boxes. Coffee maker, knife set, tea pot, cookware etc...

Paintings were put between mattresses instead of being boxed and protected.

It took a 2 person crew 13hrs which put us a day behind on our relocation plans.

I wanted to deal with National Van Lines exclusively. When 3rd or 4th parties are brought in this is what happens.

They’ve made unprofessionalism into an art form - avoid this company

We had a horrendous experience with your packers and movers. Now trying to deal with the claims process and the claims adjuster Laurel Williams has made it an art form to delay communication and evade our questions that we’ve emailed her. She took way longer than the 60 days allowed to even respond to the claim and since then she waits a week or two between responding back. We have made several pleas to remove moldy items from our house and her incompetence and indifference with the claims process is evident. I hope that no one gets her as their claims adjuster as dealing with her has made this process so much more challenging and stressful. it is clear that Laurel Williams nor this company values military families and what they have to go through one bit. Things were also stolen from our shipment which we notified her of and received no response. The check for the items that were approved has not been sent yet and it’s been over a month since that was settled. I truly hope that someone higher up in the company is notified of the lack of professionalism and care on her part as well as the packers and movers.

Official company response

We regret any frustration during your move. We've addressed agent issues with additional training and procedures. Five claims were filed between Nov '23 and Jan '24, each requiring thorough investigation due to exceeding standard value thresholds. Difficulty finding a repair firm in Guam prolonged the process. Virtual inspections were attempted, but some claims lacked conclusive evidence. Moldy items were claimed after 116 and 136 days, with no visible evidence in provided photos. Settlement checks were delayed due to system overload, but yours was issued on April 3rd via 2-day air delivery.

Will NEVER use National Van Lines again!!

I chose this line 1). Because the salesperson (Kristy Denkler) did an excellent job at selling a poor product. Had I known what a horrible experience this was going to be I would've stayed very far away from this van line. I had had National Van Lines in the early 90's on a military move but those moves are highly tracked and reviewed beginning to end by a government representative so that move went well. This move I did on my own and paid dearly for what I thought was a move where, according to their salesperson "You won't have to lift a finger." What a misrepresentation that is!! To start, I scheduled my move with National 3 months in advance only to get my move day bumped just 2 days before the movers were to come load my things! I was already in a hotel with 2 kids and 2 cats. National has not scheduled correctly and did not have a driver nor a trailer for me in the day of my move (July 12) so they bumped me to the next day only AFTER I insisted they get me someone to move my things ASAP! I had to go all the way up to the VP of Marketing and Quality Assurance (Jorga Coulter) who gave a lot of lip service but really didn't do much. I was not able to even be there while my things were loaded onto the semi because I had over $1200 in flights to my new destination and could not change the flight without paying an extra $1000! National did reimburse me $1500 but that was BEFORE all my problems really began with them. They should've reimbursed me at least half of the $13,500 I paid them! Read on! After my things were loaded onto the trailer and I was on my way to my new destination, I was told by the local rep that sold me the move (Kristy Denkler) that things went well. I assumed my things were on their way to me! Nope!! I was guaranteed my things between 4-7 days after they were loaded. When I had not heard from National, I called them to find our when my things would be delivered. I found out that my things were still sitting on the semi at my old city locked up in National's yard! They never told me my things were not on the way! I specifically told them when they messed up my pick up day, that I did NOT want my things sitting in a storage facility or yard somewhere and there they were. Then, I was given July 19th as the delivery date only to have it delayed again! When my things arrived, the driver never called with any notice nor was I ever called with an arrival time, they just showed up. Now I know why. They showed up at 8am on the arrival day, unannounced and we were all still asleep not ready. I worked from 8 am to 7pm non-stop. I tipped these guys $200 us gave away 2 of my televisions as a tip. I know how hard moving is and I'm very generous with service people. We fed them and they drank all our water and soda. At 7pm that night, they all stopped working. The driver told me he had no more money to pay the movers!! I still had glass tops not unpacked, televisions not unpacked, beds not put together. They just stopped unpacking my things which was part of what I paid for. I found our later that night that I had money taken from my daughters' wallet and other things missing. The only people in my house were the movers! In addition, they left 2 loads of stuff at my old residence and have had to go back 2 different times to get things left behind. So much for the local rep from National who oversaw the load into the semi!! At this moment, I am still filing claims for lost and damaged things and am waiting for my things left behind. That's my story. I've spoken to the CEO for National: Tim Helenthaler and he gave lip service but, like everyone else at National, he really didn't care about me or anything that had happened. Bottom line? NEVER use this van line. Tell everyone you know.

Long-distance move from Georgia to Texas

Great Experience!

After a sudden life change, I found myself needing to move from Georgia to central Texas within a week to start a new job. Obviously, the move was way too sudden to attempt to try and move myself (I drive a Prius, so not a lot could go with me and Uhaul said it'd take several days to order a hitch for my car and then a day to install it, and I just didn't have that amount of time). I thought about having a family member drive or fly down to drive a uhaul truck with my stuff, but after figuring in his costs for transportation and a hotel (the drive would've been 14 hours depending on traffic), it just didn't seem worth it. I read several reviews online, and many were bad (as most reviews for anything are usually critical), and I was a little hesitant. But after National Van Lines quoted me a price that was relatively close (app. $600 more) to what it'd take to move myself, those several hundred dollars seemed worth it. Since it's a national company, the salesperson coordinates with local moving companies to arrange your move. While this may result in requiring a little flexibility (my movers came a couple of days earlier than what the salesperson had originally thought they'd be able to arrive), I felt it was much better for them to be early rather than late. Also, they arrived within the time frame quoted on the contract. I'm just a procrastinator so I didn't prepare for them to be able to come for the first day quoted, even though I had known it to be a slim possibility. The arrival day to the final destination was on time and the movers were able to unload my stuff rather quickly. The guys put large furniture and boxes in the locations I requested and worked efficiently. They unloaded app. 4,700 lbs. in a little under two hours! Unloading it myself would've taken much longer. Since any national moving company will require coordinating among different companies (especially due to moving across several states), I was impressed that my stuff made it to the end location on exactly the day I was quoted. Additionally, even though I had almost twice as much stuff as what my initial estimate was (through no fault of the company, I just underestimated the amount of boxes I would have), I was pleasantly surprised with the final bill. In fact, another popular national moving company had quoted me $2000 more than National Van Lines, so I can only imagine how outrageous the final bill for that company would've been! Overall, I am VERY pleased with my experience with National Van Lines. They made my move so much easier than what it would have been had I tried to move myself or tried to coordinate with several loading/unloading companies in two different states on my own. Additionally, I called them on very short notice, yet they were able to pick up my stuff within the week and have my belongings to me just a few days after I moved to Texas!  .

Long-distance move from California to Texas

Positive Moving Experiences.

I have moved three different times with National Van Lines. Each move was well coordinated with the help of Aaron Bacon. The movers were friendly, professional, and did a great job each time. I would recommend their services to a friend. The driver remained in contact with me to provide delivery updates. With moving, it is difficult to pin down an exact date for delivery. Therefore, it is nice to receive updates to schedule accordingly. .
